Beverly Ann
Mcclure
September 5, 1952 – February 26, 2026
Beverly A. McClure, born September 5, 1952, in Staten Island, New York, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on February 26, 2026, at her home in Spencer, Indiana surrounded by the love of her family.
Beverly was fluent in American Sign Language earning a degree from Gallaudet University and served as a Sign Language Interpreter and instructor when she lived in Maryland. When she moved to California she began nursing school and dedicated many years to a meaningful career as a critical care nurse at Harris Hospital in New York and Cape Coral Hospital in Florida. Later in her career she transitioned to hospice nursing walking alongside patients and families in their most vulnerable moments. Nursing was not simply her profession—it was her calling. She cared for others with gentleness, dignity, and a steady presence that brought comfort and peace.
She found beauty in God's creation and enjoyed dabbling in nature photography. She also loved crafting and had a knack for quiltling and needle point.
Above all, Beverly was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. Preceded in death by her mother and father Edith and John Bishop. Survived by daughters Jennifer McClure of Spencer, Indiana, and Kelly McClure (Julianne) of Middletown, New York. Granddaughters Erin and Alex Sartelle, Emily and Rosalee Cicero, and great grandson Carson Conly. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she poured her heart into each of them.
Though her absence leaves a profound void, her legacy of faith, kindness, strength, and service will live on in the lives she touched. We trust that she now rests in eternal peace, reunited with Christ, free from pain, and embraced by everlasting love.
There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, March 26th at 9am.
Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com
