Wanda Sue Hobbs, was born on January 11, 1949, in Oakland, California. After overcoming many health challenges for years, she finally surrendered to peace. Wanda attended Tomales High School, and Seattle Community College.
She loved her family, road trips, coloring, fishing, and camping as often as possible.
Wanda is reunited with her parents, Levi St. John Hobbs and Marileen Rather "Lynn Kostrubanic," her newborn son, her sister Carla Jane Rather "Betsy," Sharon Rickels, Elon Rickels, Barbara Murray, brothers Bill Hobbs, and David Hobbs.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy carried on by her daughters, Riki Evans of Boise, Idaho, Beverly Merritt-Hicks of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Jennifer Hobbs of Terre Haute, Indiana. Wanda is also survived by her sisters Patricia Copus, Joanne Martin, Martha Coffman, Linda Brewer, Nancy Hobbs, best friend Diane Oneil, and brothers Charles Hobbs, Steven Hobbs, Jerry Shonauer, and Joseph Kostrubanic, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wanda Sue Hobbs will be deeply missed but never forgotten, her memory living on in the hearts of those who knew her.
This is not goodbye, but until we meet again. May we find comfort in the cherished memories she leaves behind, and know her spirit continues to guide us with love.
