Gary lost his 20-month battle with leukemia on March 24, 2024. Through his entire journey, Gary never lost his faith, sense of humor or positive outlook on life.
If you were lucky enough to know Gary, you knew he loved his family more than anything and he always saw the positive side of any situation. His favorite word seemed to be “excellent”. Also his favorite saying was “Thank you Jesus!”
For 26 years Gary loved working at the Honey Creek Square Mall, retiring once his illness made it too difficult to work. He enjoyed the opportunity to see friends and family daily as they shopped. Also, the perks of discounted pretzels and sodas!
Gary is survived by his daughter Mallory Boling, grandson Kevin Sullivan, mother Dalyce Conner, sister Debi Boffeli and brother-in-law Michael Boffeli.
Donations in Gary’s honor can be made to the Regional Hospital Oncology Center where the nurses cared for so much of his treatment, and he treated himself to turkey Manhattan’s after each visit. The nurses were very good to my dad, Gary and he loved and enjoyed being around them! Samaritan Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
